I just came home from the RMIT Student Film Awards Screening and Minty Marrows won best animation!

I'm really shocked and happy right now, I was feeling quite sure that I wasn't going to win anything for this screening.

They gave me.. a bottle of red wine, 3 anime DVDs sponsored by Madman (Karas, Death Note and Appleseed ), 2 mini-passes to Melbourne Cinemathque, 300 dollars cash, and a certificate =]

Hello friendlies,

In my previous journal I mentioned something about a game studio. I ended up getting the offer, but there was a misunderstanding and I am no longer going to be with that company. So! I am once again looking for a job and currently doing freelance work.

What else has happened around me lately. I have become the owner of a unicycle! My mum saw it on sale for $19.95 on her way home the other day - so she bought me it, and now I'm gonna crack my skull and destroy many things in my room trying to learn how to balance on it. (Once I get some air pumped into the tire )

Also Minty Marrows will be screening at MIAF (Melbourne International Animation Festival) and Under The Radar (Under 21 Film Fest at St. Kilda) so if you live in Melbourne come watch it at MASSIVE size!

Hello Journal,

I never write many entries, but today's morning is extra blank and boring for some reason so I shall add to your tiny history of entries. Now!

I've just spent the last few days working on a test an art director from a melbourne game studio gave me, 3 days of drawing and painting. I just woke up around 4 and am now waiting for his reply later today, hopefully with some good news

Because of this (I think it might be because of this), this feels like the most empty 6:55 AM EVER. That is probably why I'm writing this entry too, since I feel like taking a break from painting after the test, but don't really feel like playing games either (at this moment). I wanna go out though but its so dark and I have no bicycle!!

Oh and also I wanted to say thanks for all your kind and happy comments regarding the DD. I tried replying all the comments that were questions (or were just really interesting), but I sat there doing so for about 20 minutes I think before realizing there was still 300 more to go (and decided I can't do this!) So, sorry to those of you I didn't reply to!

I haven't been active on deviantArt for quite some time now, ever since I started production on Minty Marrows - but thats finished now!
